MYLES ORTIZ GREEN - sound artist/composer

Myles Ortiz-Green is a multidisciplinary artist and composer based in San Diego, California, who has collaborated on a variety of films, multimedia projects, and installations. He pioneered the Beats by Dre “Inaugural Black Future Creator Program”; in 2020 and 2021 as an in-house composer, collaborating with film directors from institutions such as Morehouse, Howard, USC, Florida A&M, and North Carolina A&T State University.

His film scores have received nominations and have been included in notable events such as the Atlanta Horror Film Festival, San Francisco Short Festival, Black Truth Film Festival, Black Film & TV Collective Selection, Launderthestars, Cult Critic Movie Awards, and the 28th Annual DGA Student Film Award.

Myles has also provided scores, sound design, and sound mixing for podcasts and commercials for various businesses and brands, including AMG, JanSport, and Chevrolet.

Myles is a graduate of Tulane University with a BA in Music, and an alumnus of the prestigious POSSE scholarship program. He is set to enter UCSD’s Computer Music PhD program in Fall 2023, where he plans to further explore composition, digital signal processing, and interactivity within audiovisual projects.
